PRIVATELY BUILT CUSTOM HOT ROD & CLASSIC CAR RESTORATIONS

 Welcome, my name is Troy McDonald and I own and operate Covert Customs. From 2017 until early 2022 Covert Customs was a full service shop with several employees doing the full scope of car building. In those 5 years I figured out that I was more passionate about doing complete higher end restorations, major custom jobs and big power builds than I was about doing repairs and service work, Also that there were certain types of cars that I enjoyed more than others.

I now privately perform only higher end complete restorations, RestoMods or build custom high HP cars for one or two clients at a time. We are no longer open to the public for general repair and upgrade work. I work out of my home shop performing the majority of all work in house. The shop along with 2 detached smaller shops total almost 5000 sq ft containing 8 bays with #2-2 post lifts, mid rise lift and a 4 post alignment rack and alignment machine, a separate metal working room houses tools like a full size Lathe and milling machine, parts washer and blasting cabinet then a 14’x28’ paint booth is attached. Plans to expand are in the works. Some interior work and certain paint work I outsource sometimes to very, very qualified people if someone is looking for a concourse restoration and everything must be perfect. I also work with one of the premiere car tuners in the world Mitch “Kiwi” Duncan for tuning big power twin turbo EFI type builds if needed. I also perform tuning on N/A engines. I’m familiar with the installation and tuning of top brand EFI systems and custom EFI builds using systems like Megasquirt, Holley & Haltech to name a few. I’m also fluent with building custom link suspension systems and installing pro touring suspension from the likes of Detroit speed and Heidt’s.
